    Centro Civico Garibaldi-Isola

    Community building competition, Milan

The project is based on the superimposition of two volumes: a platform that hosts the activities of the Civic Center and a higher volume where it is placed a large multi-purpose room for conferences, shows, concerts and events. The roof of both elements is dedicated to outdoor activities. The basement flat roof becomes a platform for gathering and fitness (gymnastics, yoga, pilates, tai chi). It is accessed by a wide independent stairway. The roof of the upper volume is accessible only to users of the center and hosts multiple uses, from gardening courses to children play to en plein air painting.
